How we can help you
If you have an elderly or vulnerable family member or friend who may be being exploited, there are legal solutions to protect them from financial harm or physical abuse. In other cases, a power of attorney may be appropriate to support an elderly or disabled person. We have the training, experience and skill to explore various solutions with you.
Failing health is a reality of an aging population and sometimes our loved ones need legal representation to protect them from being victimized. Dementia and Alzheimer’s affect one of every eight senior citizens and having a disabled family member brings with it a responsibility to protect her or him from their own poor judgment or from being victimized by predators. Vulnerable adults can be exploited financially and not recognize the harm until family members learn about it after the damage is done.
We will advise you and protect your loved one's legal rights on your behalf. If a guardianship is the appropriate solution, we can represent you or your loved one in court, where the court will resolve guardianships where an adult is found to be incapacitated. Our practice is to work with the court to fashion the best and most durable solution for your loved one. We encourage you to contact our office to schedule a consultation with Rodi or Michele.
