An Alternative to Trial

Arbitration is a private process in which each party’s lawyer argues their client’s position to the arbitrator. An arbitrator is typically an attorney experienced in family law. Unlike a judge, an arbitrator is chosen by the parties involved. Arbitration is generally less expensive and lengthy than a trial.

Make sure you have the right legal support to represent your best interests. If your case has been ordered to arbitration, don’t wait—contact O’Loane Law Firm today to argue your case.

How It Works

During the arbitration, witnesses testify and evidence is entered into the record. After the arbitration concludes, the arbitrator considers the evidence and makes findings of fact. One of the parties enters the final orders.

Arbitration is often held at an attorney’s office, however, may also be conducted virtually via video conferencing if all parties agree.
